How To Properly Move Your Refrigerator When Cleaning

Cleaning is always a challenge. But when there are big and bulky appliances getting in your way, this becomes even more difficult. One of the areas that are ordinarily neglected when homeowners clean their house is the area around the refrigerator. Inviting the refrigerator out of the way can be taxing.

But this is a must if you don't want dust and cobwebs to gather around the fridge. Not only is this unsanitary especially to an appliance that stores your food, this also speeds up the deterioration of your fridge.

Here is a guide on how to properly move your fridge so you can clean it and the area around it:

Step 1: Unplug the refrigerator. Open the door and place a chair close to the door to prevent it from closing. Remove the contents of the fridge and neatly originate them on the table or the kitchen countertop. Make sure you place perishable goods in a cooler to prevent them from contacting bacteria.

Step 5: Ask person to help you out. Slightly tilt the motor backward so your helper can slide rug under it. You can pull the rug with the fridge on top of it undoubtedly if you are using smooth flooring. However, if you already have rug to begin with, you should slide plastic sheets underneath and slide it while the fridge is on top. While you are pulling it away from its place, person should hold the fridge and push it a puny bit.

Step 6: Now clean the area with a vacuum cleaner. Also get rid of the cobwebs found at the coils of the appliance. Make sure you clean the interior and covering of the fridge before sliding it back to its place.

Step 7: Remove the cords and place the contents of the fridge back again.
